Naulu tribe is one of the tribal peoples in the island of Seram, 
precisely in Hamlet Bonara, a distance of 35 km2 of the central 
 city district. Noaulu name comes from the early settlements on 
HULU (ulu) Noa River in the heart of the island of Seram. Total 
naulu population is estimated at only tribe Noaulu thousands of
people. only have 78 families or 271 souls. The inability of 
Indonesian language to make them also isolated from a variety 
of development information.

2.       Tradition in naulu tribe

Penamou tradition and also became a tradition pataheri Naulu tribe.  
Pataheri tradition, namely traditional ceremony for the men of full 
age, where men must wear cidaku (shorts) and a headband, for five  
days, but tribal headband is red . This traditional ceremony lasted  
for 1 month, and are not allowed to use a sword  to any  
requirement. Penamou tradition, namely the women coming   
periods, the sign has entered the adult age and should be  
quarantined and not communicate with their environment, so for  
women who are pregnant. Adult women will be quarantined in a 
small house (2 x 2 m2) walled thatched leaf roofs and dirt floors.
During the ceremony penamou done, it is forbidden to pass / stop 
off by the man. Home quarantine was called: Posune.

Livelihood

The main livelihood is hunting and farming. This causes the 
 Naulu tribe live sedentary appropriate hunting areas.
